Kevin Ryan now resides in Philadelphia after living in West Chester, Pa., for over fifty years with his late wife, Eileen.  He has three children, nine grandchildren, and an equal number of great-grandchildren.  Having spent his working years as an actuary, he was President of both the Casualty Actuarial Society and the National Council of Compensation Insurance.  He also served as a Senior Fellow of the American Academy of Actuaries.

In addition to writing fiction in his spare time, he pursues his hobby of selling hot dogs at Citizens Bank Park during the Phillies’ games and, when the Phillies are away, spearfishing on the Schuylkill River.
